Last week was the end of Season One of the Narrative Electric Co. I’m really excited about Season Two, which will look into topics such as The Last of Us, journalists as actors, my late-to-life introduction to horror, and more conversations around active engagement–anti-consumerist artforms in mass media. As always, I can’t thank y’all enough for reading. This has been a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to get into S2. Buckle up!

ADDENDUM VIDEO
The was nothing to addend, um, so here’s a little short film I made about a robot I met in LA.
#AWP25 IN LA
AWP. and LA were a real trip. The Adjunct Writers Caucus panel gave our new AWP group a foundation upon which to build an active and activated caucus fighting for more visibility for contingent faculty in the writing world at AWP events, but also around the country. Some topics we visited included panel ideas for AWP 2026 in Baltimore, inviting union organizers into the fold, and what we can do to support each other the rest of the year. Special thanks to Stephanie M. Lindberg fort getting us going. I was honored to be elected President of the caucus, and I can’t wait to work with Elizabeth Donald (Vice President), Cara Diaconoff (Secretary), Joseph Hess (Treasurer), and all the amazing adjuncts who have signed up to be a part of this initiative. More to come!
As for the rest of the weekend, I was so happy to meet up with Sadie, Parker, Brendan, the EKU crowd, and meet so many wonderful writers, editors, and fans of arts and letters. Plus on Saturday, Candice and I went on a tour of Hollywood galleries, and met some amazing artists and gallerists. The world may be on fire, but artists are pushing back. (Others are too, I know, but I was on an artist kick.)
